Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chip
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
