Keto Turkey and Avocado Lettuce Wraps


 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt (for topping, optional)
  • Salsa (for topping, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until it's browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

  2. Season the turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and let it cook for a few more minutes.

  3. Wash and separate the romaine lettuce leaves, then pat them dry.

  4. To assemble the wraps, place a spoonful of the seasoned ground turkey in the center of a lettuce leaf.

  5. Top the turkey with slices of ripe avocado, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese (if desired).

  6. If you like, you can add a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt and a spoonful of salsa as toppings.

  7. Carefully fold the lettuce leaf around the filling to create a wrap.
