The Best Greek Salad
This simple Greek salad is the ideal side dish for a weeknight supper and will only take a few minutes to prepare. It is packed with crisp vegetables, salty feta cheese, and just the proper amount of herbs and spices.
Ingredients
★ 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
★ 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
★ 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
★ 1 kalamata olive cup
★ 1 cup halved marinated artichokes
★ 1/2 cup English cucumbers, quartered
★ 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
★ 6 oz. crumbled or cubed feta cheese
★ 1/2 teaspoon salt
★ 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
★ 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Direction
Step 1: Put all of the components into a sizable bowl designed for mixing.
Step 2: If you want to make Greek dressing, put all of the ingredients in a food
processor or blender and process them until they are thoroughly mixed.
Step 3: If you are going to use the Greek dressing, sprinkle some of it over the salad
after you have put all of the ingredients together. Toss the salad with a big spoon or
salad tongs until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. If extra dressing is
required for the salad, add some more, but if you are not using any dressing at all,
season it to taste with additional salt, pepper, and oregano
