 French Toast

French toast is a classic and delicious breakfast dish. Here's a simple recipe for making French toast:

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Butter or cooking oil for frying
  • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, or your favorite toppings

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using).

  2. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add a small amount of butter or cooking oil to prevent sticking.

  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides thoroughly. Allow any excess mixture to drip off.

  4. Place the dipped bread slices on the hot skillet or griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and slightly crispy.

  5. Once the French toast slices are cooked to your liking, remove them from the skillet.

  6. Serve the French toast hot with your favorite toppings. Maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, and whipped cream are popular choices.

  7. Enjoy your homemade French toast!

French toast is a versatile breakfast dish, and you can customize it by adding toppings like berries, bananas, chocolate chips, or nuts. It's a great way to start your day with a delicious and satisfying meal.
