 Keto Fathead Pizza

 

Ingredients:

For the Pizza Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

For Toppings (Customize to your preference):

  • Low-carb pizza sauce (look for options with no added sugar)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced pepperoni, cooked sausage, sliced bell peppers, sliced olives, mushrooms, or any other toppings you like
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the cheeses are melted and well combined.

  3. Stir in the almond flour, egg, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix the dough until it forms a smooth and uniform ball.

  4. Place the dough on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Cover it with another sheet of parchment paper.

  5. Roll out the dough between the parchment paper into a circular or rectangular shape, depending on your preference for the pizza's shape and size.

  6. Remove the top parchment paper and transfer the crust, still on the bottom parchment, onto a baking sheet.

  7. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until it becomes golden and slightly crispy.

  8. Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  9. Spread a thin layer of low-carb pizza sauce on the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.

  10. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, and add your desired toppings.

  11. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the toppings are cooked to your liking.

  12. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and let it cool briefly before slicing.
