  •  Stuffed Cookies

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
    • Your choice of filling (e.g., caramel, peanut butter, Nutella, etc.)

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

    3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

    4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

    5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

    6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

    7. Scoop out a tablespoon-sized portion of dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a small amount of your chosen filling in the center.

    8. Fold the cookie dough around the filling, sealing it well. Shape it into a ball and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

    9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may appear slightly undercooked, but they will firm up as they cool.

    10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
