hamburger stew recipe slow cooker
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup frozen green beans

- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup frozen peas (added later)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
Transfer the cooked beef to the slow cooker. Add diced onion, sliced carrots, diced potatoes, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, beef broth, green beans, corn, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Stir in tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the vegetables are tender.
About 30 minutes before serving, add the frozen peas to the slow cooker and stir.
Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
Serve the hamburger stew hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
