 seafood  Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup white wine (optional)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic becomes fragrant, but be careful not to let it brown.

  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add the white wine (if using) and bring it to a simmer. Allow it to cook for a minute or two to reduce slightly.

  5. Reduce the heat and add the butter, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Stir the sauce until the butter melts and the sauce thickens a bit.

  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce for a minute or two until they are heated through.

  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve your garlic butter shrimp over cooked pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.

This garlic butter shrimp is quick and easy to prepare, and it's packed with flavor. Enjoy your seafood meal!
